"From our hands to yours. Beautiful rag dolls made by Otomi people. Behold, Lele, the dolls that represents Mexicanity and declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity and Cultural Heritage of Queretaro.

All it's production is completely handmade, so if you buy one, you will be sure that the brightly colored ties, the tender face, the braids and the outfit have been made by artisan hands.

Get a piece of dedication, effort, culture, tradition, and sustenance of ancestral generations, all of this together in this Mexican Icon.

Lele (the doll) is made by Otomi families, who teach the work for its preparation from generation to generation. The new Mothers teach their daughters from childhood and so when she is an adult she will teach her family this noble work. Today there is an organized community, everything well structured, taking care of the quality in its preparation, from its clothing to the decoration of its head, with ribbons hoops and flowers.

The ribbon on the edge of the skirt is all embroidered by hand, thus promoting employment for women artisans in the communities, instead of buying a strip previously embroidered by the industry. It is quite the inspiration, until reaching the finished product.

Today, that we live in such an industrialized world with little time to stop to observe the colorful details that exist in nature, here you can appreciate the beauty of the diversity of colors in the doll. Support us so that such a kind tradition is not lost.
